Just waiting for E at ORD. I cannot believe it has been a week already. Feels longer. So I cannot wait to see her. We got a heap of snow but it’s nowhere to be seen. Yet it was enough to cause traffic and delays.

Part of my early Christmas gift from E were these little creatures with interchangeable heads. They’re adorable! Quiet day in the office. We watched Top Gear for a bit over Potbelly sammies (thanks, Karen!). Now I work.

Tasha’s the sweetest puppy ever. I miss her a ton when I’m away.

I’m with my cousins at Snooker’s in Royal Oak. We started at James and Mary’s house and have been catching up over pool and beer. I haven’t been here in years. And I miss my family.

I am surrounded by camouflage. We’re at Cabela’s near Milan, Michigan. I found some clothes and dad found some boots.

Tis the season to shop indoors. We are at Cabela’s in Dundee and about to shop for sporting goods. This store is the size of a city block.

I’ve been here for a day and now I remember why I come home: I actually do miss my parents. In a way it’s nice to be taken care of even though I’m not used to it. But bonding with dad and seeing the love between them as they bickering themselves into their sixth decade is warming and charming.

Three hours late. No, make that four. Unbelievable. This country’s idea of mass transit is a joke. However I should be used to it and I do revel in the notion of relaxing for several hours instead of driving. Just can’t seem to escape my Virgo-ness.
