And I think that’s what it is for me: how do you run your business. It’s not that United is bad (though I’ve NEVER left ORD on time), but it’s the way Southwest chooses to conduct it’s business. I have heard so many wonderful stories about how the company empowers their front-line people to make the customer feel special. That’s what will get them chosen over all the choices time and time again. In a way I prefer to fly SWA not only because of the experience but I feel like I am voting with my dollars.

I wholeheartedly agree. That logo is absolute crap. I’ve been a huge United fan for over 30 years. To completely abandon their history is terrible. Also, I agree that the Continental font and logo is outdated. That’s just one of the many reasons I don’t fly them. Long live Southwest. That’s the way to run an airline.
